It is said that out of all the prosperous states of India, Chitaud was also a state in ancient times. Where the Empress used to rule Karmavati. The queen was very dear to justice. The fame of Rani Karmwati was spread on the side. In Rani Karmawati’s kingdom, all the subjects lived safely. There was no shortage of any kind.People, ministers and soldiers were all happy with the justice of the queen. The Queen used to cheer on her face. But the neighbor king was not seen. He had a larger army than the queen. He considered an undefeated queen and tried to subdue the kingdom of Chitod. On the basis of this thinking, he gathered all his soldiers and marched on the kingdom of Rani Karmawati. Seeing such a large army, the queen’s commander informed the queen that our state has been attacked by the enemy. Which our soldiers will not be able to face because the enemy has a huge army. In this situation, the queen acted with courage. The queen wrote a letter and put a safeguard in it. And sent this letter from the commander to Humayu, the Emperor of Delhi immediately. When the emperor read this letter and saw the Raksha Sutra. So immediately ordered that our army should leave to protect Chitaud. But to this, the commander said that our army will not fight for the Maharaja Rani. Hearing this, the emperor said that after getting up from religion, our sister has remembered to protect her. So we must protect our sister. And will take care of sister’s defense. And Humayun, the emperor of Delhi, sent the army and protected Rani Karmawati. Since then this festival is celebrated.
